What online training can do
An online course can deliver the required lesson content, quizzes, and completion certificate in a format that fits your schedule. CPS offers its 8-hour Powers to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force course online throughout California.
What still happens through the state
You still need to follow BSIS application instructions and complete any required fingerprinting and background-check steps. Those steps are not replaced by course registration.
How to choose an online course
Look for a clear course scope, a real completion record, understandable support, secure checkout, and a direct explanation of what happens after training. Avoid providers that promise a Guard Card without explaining the state process.
Requirements and fees can change. Confirm current information with California BSIS and use Breeze when directed by the state.
